The Grommet Selects Hipstik

by LAURA MCGUIRE

Hipstik Tights are now available here on The Grommet, an online product discovery marketplace. The Grommet carries products with purpose invented by people with stories. The Grommet evaluates thousands of products each year, but ultimately selects to launch only 3%.

“To be chosen by The Grommet to share our product is a testament to how Hipstik fills an underrepresented need. We’re honored and excited for customers to discover the comfort and style the Hipstik design delivers on the leading maker-to-customer platform,” says Laura McGuire, Hipstik founder.

Hipstik was born out of frustration with hosiery product selections available. “Years of searching and all I could find were control top or shapewear that squeezed, rolled and sagged. I asked women and their comments were the same: tights are just uncomfortable.” says McGuire.

“Millions of people follow The Grommet because of our track record discovering innovative products,” states Jules Pieri, The Grommet’s Co-founder & CEO, in the company’s recent release. Since 2008, The Grommet has worked with more than 2,800 independent makers, inventors, and entrepreneurs to launch early-stage consumer products. Many of the products have become household names, including FitBit, Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day, OtterBox, S’well, SimpliSafe, and SodaStream.
